Repetitive Motion
On average, each one of us will take between 8,000 and 10,000 steps per day.
Assuming you started walking at the age of 1, the table below shows the average numbers of steps you will have taken at 10 year intervals through your life.

The lucky few are born with good bony alignment within their feet.... For the 30% of us with optimal foot function, our feet provide a stable foundation that is more than capable of moving us through our lives without any significant detrimental impact on our musculoskeletal structure. This is, of course, subject to sufficient and regular care of the feet, and other lifestyle factors.
But for the majority, abnormal foot function is often the underlying cause for a whole host of potential problems..... For the remaining 70% of the population, abnormal foot function is compounded through our entire body with every step we take, significantly increasing the risk of us developing compensatory musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction conditions at single or multiple, often unrelated, sites within the body.
It is the consistency of impact through the sheer number of steps taken that plays a crucial part in the development of compensatory musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction conditions from toe to head.
Other risk factors, such as the nature, degree and bilateral asymmetry of the bony mis-alignments together with age, weight, occupation, hobbies, sports, general health and previous injuries combine to create a personalised level of risk for developing otherwise unexplainable pain, dysfunction and stress.
Existing Sufferers
For those who already suffer from pain, dysfunction and stress that has been shown not be caused by any recognisable pathology, and have not benefitted from previous treatment options provided, a foot function assessment could well provide the key to unlocking the mystery behind your otherwise baffling symptoms.
