Musculoskeletal Pain
Understanding Chronic Pain; From the Bottom Up; Oesteoarthritis; Poor Posture
Muscle pain and joint wear and tear seem almost synonomous with human life. Only the very lucky few seem to get through life pain-free.
From the recurrent pain of an injury that's never quite healed to the chronic daily pain of backache, stiff tired legs or tension headaches, pain affecting the muscles and bones are very common problems that nearly everyone will suffer at some time or another.
The statistics can be quite alarming; 80% of the UK population will suffer backpain at some point in their lives, 10% of the UK population live with chronic daily pain and between 5% and 30% of the UK population develop oesteoarthritis, or "wear and tear" arthritis.
Then there are the all-body syndromes such as Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Glandular Fever and M.E., where exhaustion and pain is met with a complex range of other health problems. These syndromes are complex and affect different people in different although similar ways. For a variety of reasons they are difficult to understand, to diagnose and to manage, and so far have proved impossible to cure.
And of course, there are the silent millions who don't even think anything is wrong when they get home every day feeling totally exhausted with achy tired legs and feet and to whom waking up feeling stiff and tired have become a way of life.
For all the many and varied symptoms of musculoskeletal pain, only a very small percentage of sufferers have the certainty of understanding the underlying cause. Unless the pain can be attributed to disease or obvious health problem, the true cause remains elusive.
Successful treatments are very rare, and whilst many hope they will find that cure all treatment that will eliminate pain for life, they must continue to live their daily lives in the best and most effective way they can.
A breakthough
The symptoms of abnormal foot function have been around for years, it has just taken a combination of innovative technology, common sense and personal experiences to finally link many of these difficult and painful problems to a common root cause.
Most are skeptical, many are dubious and a few think there might just be something in it. Whichever you are, follow the links below to find out more:
